| Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics (FORD) is a
non-profit organization providing a complete year-round
senior-level and masters swimming program. Ford Aquatics
provides opportunities to all competitors in high school, college,
or beyond who are interested in being a part of a team that can
help them reach their full potential. Ford Aquatics
(formerly HOT) has a strong history of excellence not only in the
local area, but throughout Arizona, the United States, and the
world.
Ford Aquatics swimmers train at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center just
off Campbell Avenue and adjacent to McKale Center. This
Aquatic complex is the home of the Nationally ranked University of
Arizona Wildcats and includes two pools. The main racing and
training course is 50M x 25yd. This provides ample room for
all athletes with eight lanes of long course water, or eighteen
lanes short course. The diving well provides an excellent opportunity
for athletes to work on dives and sprints in a short 50 foot
course.
Ford Aquatics strives to create an environment that allows
swimmers to achieve their potential. We want to give each
swimmer the background, confidence, and stroke technique necessary
for success and teach the value of hard work and dedication.
Ford Aquatics gives Tucson-area youths the opportunity to
represent their city and state in the highest levels of
competition. Our main emphasis is for those swimmers who
with to compete at local, state, sectional, national and
international levels, however, all swimmers are welcome whether
they wish to compete or not.
Ford Aquatics believes in the development of well-rounded
individuals as well. Ford Aquatics swimmers learn about
being part of a team, self-motivation, self-discipline, personal
accountability, sportsmanship, goal setting, and goal
achievement.
