It's back and better than ever!

September 2, 2008: After an eight
year absence, and due to an
increase in available warm pool water, with the
exciting opening of the University of Arizona's
new diving well and training facility this
August, Ford Aquatics has decided to reinstate its age group program for
the 2012 Olympic quadrennium and beyond.
The new pool will
include12 additional wide lanes of 25 Meter
water which when added to Hillenbrand Aquatic
Centers existing pools will create a training
facility that equals the best in the country.
This gives the facility three pools of cold
water in the summer and warm water in the
winter. The old diving well will be used
in the winter allowing the younger kids to
practice and learn in 85 degree water. The
new diving well and competition pool will remain
at around 80 degrees in the summer and 82
degrees in the winter.
With the new pool
being slated to be completed in October of 2008,
Ford will start this exciting addition to its
already world renown program, on September 2nd, 2008.
